According to the company, the study also demonstrated significant reductions in several pro-inflammatory biomarkers – interleukin (‘IL’) 8, 10 and 18 – known to be linked to cardiovascular disease (‘CVD’) and many other conditions such as asthma, lung diseases, chronic kidney disease, fatty liver disease, type 1 and 2 diabetes, obesity, and rheumatoid arthritis. More specifically, after five weeks of treatment, the DehydraTECH-CBD formulation resulted in a 19%, 27% and 43% reduction in the blood plasma levels of IL 8, 10 and 18, respectively,” reads a recent article. “There is some pre-clinical evidence for the anti-inflammatory actions of CBD, but this is likely the most convincing evidence in humans that I have ever seen,” Dr. Philip Ainslie, cardiovascular advisor to Lexaria and lead investigator of the study, is quoted as saying.
